About

My blog name came from a movie line from a Steven King movie called “The Stand”.  I had lost my father prior to watching this movie and although a firm believer in the ‘hereafter’, I wanted a sign from my father that he was okay.

My name, Dawn Eden, was given to me by my father and I always loved it because I felt it was rather unique. So one night I’m watching this movie in bed, thinking quietly about my dad because the movie has a Christian slant to it with ‘Evil” a main character and this old black woman who is obviously the ‘good’ prophet.

The old woman is laying on her death-bed and remarks to her friends that ‘heaven is as pretty as dawn in Eden’. Well, that line certainly caught my attention and I took that as my dad’s sign to me that he was okay and in heaven.

Simple.

  2. Is there a issue with the Style sheet here? I can’t make out anything here without highlighting it with the mouse, because it’s all yellow. I’m using Chrome if it makes a difference.

  5. Maybe there is a problem with the Style sheet here? I can’t make out anything here without highlighting it with the mouse, due to the fact it’s all purple. I’m using Firefox if it makes a difference.

    • Hi Jill,
For some reason, folks who view via Firefox seem to have an issue. Not sure what that’s about. I’ll have to try to see what’s going on. Thanks for the notice.
