For me, one sure way of getting in the mood for Christmas is playing Christmas music and Silent Night, Carol of the Bells and O Holy Night immediately have me reaching for my holiday decor and dragging the hubby out to look for the PERFECT imperfect tree.  Yea, I want the perfect tree but it can’t LOOK perfect. It’s gotta have a flaw. I’m sure Freud would have a field day with that one….

Here’s just a couple pix of my Christmas decor. In some ways I made more of an effort but in others, I simply ‘let it go’ and figured I’d work on that particular area next year.

My daughter and grandson won’t be home this Christmas, so I have to get some Christmas shopping done via online and in person and mail out. My heart is heavy that we’ll miss them, but my son and grandson will be home, so it balances out…

Any who…sit back and drink some cocoa (with a heavy dollop of brandy!), turn on the Christmas music and relax…
