If you happen to watch HGTV, you might catch a show that’s called “The High-Low Project” with Sabrina Soto. Ms Soto basically shows a client a version of their dream room using high end items, then based on what the client can actually afford, she’ll re-create the “High” end version of the design with a “Low” end version of the room basically paying only a fraction of what the High end design had cost.
Well I do find that show a bit fascinating because she’s rather very good at finding similiar products that has the ‘look and feel’ of the pricier items but can get the item for much less. It’s surprising what you can find in your Target or Home Goods store that is a knock off of the high end items in the designer showrooms. That’s why I love my ‘Tar zay’!
Well, the reason for this post, is that I was reading through my daily emails and was checking out a some of the online shopping sites like WUSLU, One Kings Lane, and Joss and Main and noticed a coffee table that I’ve been eying for my family room was available but pricey (over $1,000) and out of my budget. However, I noticed the SAME coffee table on another site for almost $600 less. THE SAME TABLE. Here is a picture.
Amazing. It really pays to search the internet and to join shopping sites that offer deals to their members.
SO, being the good little wifey that I am, I’m going to save my husband a heart attack and continue to hold off on purchasing my coffee table to see how much lower I can actually get!
